অ্যাডোবি ইলাস্ট্রেটর পরিচিতিঃ-

প্রথমেই চিত্র-১ এবং চিত্র-২ লক্ষ করলে দেখা যাই চিত্র-১ এর ছবি জুম ব্যতীত স্পষ্ট এবং পরিস্কার দেখা যাচ্ছে। কিন্তু চিত্র-২ নং এ ছবিটি জুম অবস্থায় দেখা যাচ্ছে অস্পষ্ট। মনে হচ্ছে ছবিটি ফেটে গেছে। এখানেই ইলাস্ট্রেটর এর পার্থক্য। ইলাস্ট্রেটর এর output vector graphics যা জুম করলেও এর ছবির মানের কোন পরিবর্তন হয় না। এই কারনে প্রিন্টিং প্রেসে এর চাহিদা বিশ্বব্যাপী। কারন vector graphics যে কোন সাইজ এ নিয়ে প্রিন্ট করা যায়। এটি একটি জনপ্রিয় graphics প্রোগ্রাম। এটি ১৯৯৭ সালে প্রথম তৈরি ও বাজারজাত করা হয়। www.adobe.com এর download product list থেকে ৩০ দিনের trial প্রোডাক্ট (প্রোগ্রাম) download করে নিতে পারেন।

এছাড়া http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/cs6-product-downloads.html এর “free trial” অপশন থেকে download করে নিতে পারেন।

কম্পিউটার হার্ডওয়্যার রিসোর্স চাহিদা

এখানে মনে রাখা ভাল যে যেহেতু graphics এর কাজ করা হবে তাই একটি ভাল graphics কার্ড, পর্যাপ্ত র‍্যম ও হার্ড ডিস্ক স্পেস প্রয়োজন। নিম্নের রিসোর্স চাহিদার নিচেও হয়তো AICS6 চালানো যাবে তবে কাংখিত ফল পেতে সমস্যা হতে পারে। কম্পিউটার ধীর গতিতে কাজ করা এক্ষেত্রে একটি উধারন।

চাহিদা

A) Processor => Intel Pentium 4 or AMD Althon 64 bit Processor or Higher.

B) Microsoft Windows XP, Service Pack 3 or Higher.

C) সর্বনিম্ন 1GB RAM (3-8GB হলে ভাল হয়)।

D) সর্বনিম্ন 2GB হার্ড ডিস্ক স্পেস।

E) 1024x768 রেজুল্যশন সমর্থন বিশিষ্ট মনিটর ও Graphics কার্ড।

F) 1GB Graphics RAM (GPU RAM) হলে ভাল হয়। MAC অপারেটিং সিস্টেম এর জন্য হার্ডওয়্যার চাহিদা প্রায় একই রকম।

Setup/Installation

এবার আমরা দেখে নেই এর installation প্রক্রিয়া। যদিও এটি CS6 ভার্সনের জন্য তবে অন্য ভার্সনগুলোর জন্য নিয়ম প্রায় একি রকম।

ধরে নিচ্ছি সেটআপ প্রোগ্রাম (Adobe Illustrator CS6) সংগ্রহ করা হয়ছে এবং হার্ড ড্রাইভ বা ডিভিডি মেমোরিতে সংরক্ষিত আছে।

প্রথমেই ইন্টারনেট কানেকশন Disconnect করে নিতে হবে। Adobe Illustrator CS6 এ ফাইল ক্লিক করে রান করি। (চিত্র-৩)

উপরের (চিত্র-৪) এর মত Installation Process শুরু হবে।

চিত্র-৫ এর মত একটি Welcome Screen আসবে। যেহেতু Trial Version (৩০ দিনের জন্য) Setup করবো সেহেতু এখান থেকে Try লেখাতে ক্লিক করবো।

এখান থেকে আমরা লাইসেন্স এর বিভিন্ন শর্ত মেনে accept লেখাটিতে ক্লিক করবো।

এখানে প্রয়োজনীয় ডিস্ক স্পেস যা হার্ড ডিস্ক থেকে ব্যবহার হবে তা দেখাবে (চিহ্নিত স্থান)। এখানে যদি হার্ডওয়্যার, উইন্ডোজ ভার্সন বা রেজুলেশন যদি সাপোর্ট না করে তবে মেসেজ এর মত করে দেখাবে। যদি সমস্যাটি কোনভাবেই গ্রহণযোগ্য না হয় তবে ইন্সটল করতে দিবে না। এখান থেকে ইন্সটল লেখাতে ক্লিক করলে প্রোগ্রাম তার পূর্ব নির্ধারিত C;\progrum files\Adobe লোকেশনে এবং পূর্ব নির্ধারিত ভাষা সেটিংস্‌ এ সেটআপ হবে। এখানে শুধু ‘Install’ লেখাতে ক্লিক করবো।

প্রয়োজনীয় ফাইল সিস্টেমে কপি হবার পর (১০০%)

সেটআপ সম্পূর্ণ হবে।

নিচের চিত্রের মত উইন্ডো আসলে ‘close’ এ ক্লিক করলে সেটআপ সম্পূর্ণ হবে।

Why Adobe Illustrator?

Before answering this question have a look at two images image-1 and image-2. You will get the most part of the answer yourself!

Image-1 is well smaller than image-2, but much more clear too. Just like image-2, if we try to zoom image-1 out for larger view it will be blur like this one. That is why Adobe Illustrator is used for printing media. Adobe Illustrator uses vector graphics, that means how much larger you want your image is- it will not blur anymore and you can print any size you like.

Introduction: Adobe Illustrator is very popular graphics program around the world, particularly in printing related media. It has also large amount of usages in electronic media too. It is used in Logo Design, Visiting Card, Calendar, Books etc alongside Adobe Photoshop program.

In 1997 Adobe Illustrator introduced for the first time in global market. You can find history of Adobe products in www.wikipedia.com and product details in www.adobe.com.

Let’s start our learning journey:

In our tutorial, we will start with Adobe Illustrator CS6 version. Why? I feel it is not too older to start neither too latest one to grab the higher computer resources. More or less we can move in other versions easily because this programs interface is almost similar.

The computer requirements listed bellow (According to Adobe)

A)     Processor => Intel Pentium 4 or AMD Althon 64 bit processor or higher.

B)      Microsoft Windows XP, Service Pack 3 or higher.

C)      Minimum 1 GB Ram (It is better to have 3-8 GB)

D)     Minimum 2GB hard disk free space.

E)      1024 × 768 Resolution supported monitor and Graphics Card.

F)      Graphics Card should have 1GB GPU Ram.

If you are a MAC user, it should be similar or if you can find more details in Adobe products requirements list from their website. I am using Microsoft Windows to make this tutorial with windows version of Adobe Illustrator.

How to get the product?

We can download 30 days of free trial product from given link http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/cs6-product-downloads.html Or you can buy it if you like. If you do not have high speed internet connection, you can collect it from your local computer market in a DVD format.

Alright, we can go for our first part of the tutorial with installation process.

Installation:

[Before start installation, please disconnect internet connection till installation process completes.]

Step 1:

Enter to the folder where Setup.exe is exists and click on it to start the process. Fig. 3 shows the icon you required to click on.

Step 2:

Installation process will start initialization like given fig. 4 bellow.

Step 3:

After completing step 2 a welcome screen will appear, just like given figure, fig. 5. We will select and click Try option for 30 Days of trial.

Step 4:

After selecting `Try’ option, we will find a `Adobe Software License Agreement’ in step 4 like given figure fig.6. We have to accept those terms and conditions to continue with the installation. So, click `Accept’.

Step 5:

After accepting license agreement, you will find a `Option Selection’ window where it will allow you to set the path where installation file will keep required files to run the program in future. It will also check for the required available necessary disk space (free disk space) just like given figure bellow:

If everything is up to the mark (required disk space and resolution), to keep it simple and install to its default location (`c:\program files\adobe’) just click `Accept‘ button. Final part of the installation will be started soon.

Step 6:

Like figure Fig.7 given bellow, file copying will be started.  It will show progress in percentage (%).

Step 7:  After copying files and setting default options for the program, `Installation Complete’ window will be appeared like figure, Fig.8 bellow.

 It is the last step for the installation process. Just click `Close’ button and installation will finish.
